I primarily paint with watercolors, either at home using photos and field sketches, or out on location. My preferred paints are Holbein and Daniel Smith and I like to use Arches watercolor papers and blocks. As for brushes, there's a variety of brands, including some pretty ratty looking ones that still work great.

The small painting to the right is a quick work done from a photo. The one below is of Mt. Rainier at sunset as viewed from the Pacific Crest Trail.
